Your Sensei Nandana Wijewardana is the Chief Instructor of Kenseikan Canada. He has over 25 years of experience in teaching Karate. He was the NATIONAL KARATE CHAMPION in1979 (Junior) and 1981(Senior). Further, He represented the Sri Lanka's National Karate Team in 1987 and won an Scholarship for advanced training at Wakeijuku University in Tokyo, Japan where he was awarded 3rd Degree Black Belt (Sandan). In addition to kids and adults received his expertise training also includes Police, Military and STF (Special Task Force) Personnel. He is a certified Meditation instructor and a Karate Tournament (Official) Referee. Text Box: Senpai Duminda Perera joined Karate Do Kenseikan in September 1996 and received his training from Sensei Nandana Wijewardana. He received his Black Belt certificate from Kenseikan International, Japan. He has participated in Many Tournaments and won many Medals and Kubota Cup Trophy as well.  He is an Engineer by profession and works for the Bombardier Aerospace, Toronto.  He has been an instructor since 1999. He also has received training from Sensei Suenori Tominaga. He is currently training for his 2nd Dan Black Belt.
He is a Father of Two Sons (one just came to the world- congratulations) and the Husband of our former student Mimi Perera.
 
Text Box: Brynley Longman joined Karate-Do Kenseikan Canada in the year 2005 and continued his Karate training from Sensei NandanaWijewardana and Sensei Duminda Perera. He was very active progressed rapidly, and was graded for Black Belt in early 2007. He received his1st Degree Black Belt from Kenseikan Head office in Japan.
Brynley has participated in Karate Ontario Tournaments and won Medals and placed 4th on Nationals . He has a background knowledge of few other Karate Styles as well. He had received his initial Karate training from a Traditional Japanese Instructor.
Brynley is a self-styled Artist by profession and has had many successful exhibitions

Being the youngest to be graded for Black Belt, Kristian has made a record in Kenseikan Karate History. Kristian Has demonstrated abilities and the willingliness to achieve were beyond expectation from a person of that age.  Kristian qualified to be a Black Belt by showing excellence in his Academic, Athletic and Acting Carrier. Kenseikan Karate looks for the person's growth not only in Karate but also in his personal and mental development. Krisitan joined Kenseikan Karate when he was very young and participated in many demonstrations and tournaments and is also another Medal Winner.
